Launch of +977- Nepali Youth Magazine in Australia

Just wanted to do a quick post about this new youth magazine, +977 launched last Thursday in Sydney Australia.  It’s a lifestyle magazine for  Nepali community living in Australia, which will be published every month. Few young Nepalese living in Sydney came up with this idea to represent the young Nepalese living in Australia and be their voice through this magazine which is a very commendable initiative. It’s really positive that even though in small scale, something like this has happened in Sydney and hope this benefits every Nepali living here in Australia and anywhere in the world in one way or the other.

I'm really glad to be able to provide little contribution for the magazine and be part of it. Please do check out my article about accessories in the magazine if you can get hands on a copy. Also, for those who have already grabbed the first issue are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions at or through magazine’s Facebook page. I’m sure there is a lot of room for improvement as this is a first issue and a first attempt.
Here are few photos from the launch party.

Shorts' Story- more pictures

Finally edited pictures from the last shoot (here) featuring my leather shorts........

For first look, I paired my shorts with a white blouse (previously here) & white blazer, added my favourite nude pumps (previously here) and I'm all set to go. I wish the days were not as chillier now and I could sport this look often. I love this chic and polished look when you pair shorts and blazer together with some killer heels!

For second look, I opted to pair leather with knitwear and a scarf. keeping the colour palette neutral and brown for an appropriate daytime look. These brown booties are new babies and they are the highest pairs of heels I own till date. I love how they elongate my silhouette and make me look so tall.

Shorts' Story

I love my shorts during summer and was doing bit of a research on how to make it wearable during winters, found lot of inspirations. I figured wearing shorts in winter can work really well if right fabric and materials are chosen such as wool, leather and tweed. These materials are made for colder months and look appropriate even when wearing shorts.  Btw, wearing shorts in winter in more of a daring fashion and not everybody is into it so please don't freak out about this post!

Here I chose to work with tan leather shorts which I am currently obsessed about. I wanted to show about four different styles on how to wear them but I could only shoot for two; my camera battery died when I was not even done with shooting for second outfit.  Anyways, here’s a sneak peek of how I styled my shorts, will be posting more pictures soon. To be continued.............
....till then, stay stylish!

Wine on my mind

I am absolutely loving the deep red /wine /burgundy colour  this autumn. This colour is so luxurious and adds glamour to one's appearance; no need to mention that it looks good on almost any skin tone. This cropped denim jacket and floppy hat is a perfect find in such colour which I recently bought when I had no plans for shopping; sometimes implusive buying can be so fruitful! Actually, I had this shoot planned for my blog and as because it was raining; I was browsing through some shops at Westfield Burwood to kill time while waiting for rain to stop. It was when I grabbed  these items from Jay Jay's which I must say was quite a bargain:)

Denim jacket are such a timeless piece for any wardrobe. The cropped length and the colour add a modern vibe and give it a fresh appeal. I just love these floppy hats, they are so stylish and has that vintage feel to it yet are so trendy. I think the hat and the jacket complement each other so well, perfect for a day out in Sun or anyway when you want to walk out of that door in style.
